LARA DEVITT, Arts Council England
Relationship Manager, New Technology & Innovation
Lara has 25 years’ experience working in the Creative, Cultural and Heritage
sectors across the north of England. The early part of her career was spent
working in galleries, museums and libraries, before moving into strategic roles
with the Museums, Libraries and Archive Council (MLA) and then on to Arts
Council England.
She has been a Relationship Manager at Arts Council England since 2010, working
across the north of England in the fields of art and new technologies, digital
content, creative economy, and innovation. During this time, she has worked on
national initiatives in partnership with Google, BBC, Nesta, Digital Catapult,
AHRC and Channel 4. She also works with a diverse portfolio of organisations
across digital, visual and combined arts. As part of Arts Council’s Priority
Place work, Lara holds responsibility for supporting developments in
Hartlepool.
When not at a keyboard, Lara finds a creative outlet in illustration (although
she no longer practices as a freelance illustrator, she is currently learning
how to graphic record live events and meetings) and has recently trained in Creative
Facilitation techniques.
